Let’s face it. Buying a water treatment system for your home is no small purchase. If you are currently in the market for one of these in-home water purification systems, I’d like to make you aware of 3 mistakes you should avoid at all costs when making your purchasing decision.

Mistake #1 – Assuming that clean drinking water is your only concern.

While making sure that your family has safe, clean water to drink, you also have to remember that the best water treatment should cover your cooking and bathing/showering needs, as well as, protection from plumbing pipe corrosion.

It doesn’t do you any good to drink clean water, but eat food that’s been cooked in water containing dangerous chemical toxins like herbicides and pesticides.

Furthermore, if you purifiy your drinking water, but use regular tap water to bathe and shower, you’re being exposed to high levels of chlorine. Chlorine not only strips your skin of essential oils, but it also creates a harmful gas in the shower steam. This chlorinated steam can aggravate asthma and other respiratory sensitivities.

All the chemicals contained in unfiltered tap water have the potential of leaching lead, copper and other heavy metals from the pipes in your home’s plumbing. These metals are poisonous and can have a serious effect on the health of your family…especially small children.

Mistake #2 – Relying on bottled water as an effective water treatment system.

The bottled water industry has enjoyed an explosive success due to consumer awareness of dangerous water pollution. The problem with thinking that bottled water uses the best water treatment is that it’s a complete fallacy. There are absolutely NO government standards or regulations requiring bottled water to be any cleaner or safer than tap water. A water company could be filling these bottles with a garden hose, slapping on a label that reads, “pure mountain spring water” and you would never know the difference.

Even if bottled water companies make an effort to purify their water, you are still left with the plastic waste that these bottles create. Over 60,000,000 plastic water bottles a day are being dumped in land fills. In my way of thinking, this is NOT the best water treatment system.

Mistake #3 – Purchasing a water purificiation system that requires expensive add-ons and heavy maintenance.

Reverse osmosis and distillation are popular water purification systems that have some technical problems when it comes to filtering certain contaminants. There is a whole host of chemical toxins and dangerous bacteria that these systems, by themselves, cannot get rid of. I won’t bore you with details, but it involves the molecular size of these toxins.

If you want to get rid of these water polluters, a reverse osmosis or distillation water treatment system will require a carbon filter add-on. This is an on-going expense and inconvenience as these filters must be purchased and changed on a regular basis.

Additionally, a reverse osmosis water treatment system requires a diaphragmed storage tank due to the slow speed of clean water production.

These are unnecessary expenses when you consider that there is a less expensive, more comprehensive and convienent water treatment system available.

It is probably apparent that I’ve done my research when it comes to the best water treatment system. I believe that a system based on multi-stage filtration is the most effective when it comes to removing most chemical pollutants and bacteria. I say “most” because I’ve learned that there isn’t any water treatment system that can be 100% certain.

That being said, however, multi-stage filtration comes as close as possible. The cutting-edge technology behind multi-stage filtration means that you can rest easy knowing that you’re providing safe, clean water for every household use. Multi-stage filtration products come in a wide variety of convenient appliances…include whole-house filter systems.

If you want to see what these innovative appliances look like, just visit my web site. You will also find more information about my recommendation for the best water treatment system, based upon my extensive research.

What are the consequences of air pollution? Air pollution can affect our health in many ways with both short-term and long-term effects. Examples of short-term effects include irritation to the eyes, nose, and throat, and upper respiratory infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia. Other symptoms can include headaches, nausea, and allergic reactions. Click Here To Know More About Carbon Credit Mall Now!As for long-term health effects, diseases such as bronchitis, lung cancer, and heart disease may all eventually appear in people exposed to air pollution. Long term exposure can lead to health concerns similar to long term smoking, such as cancer and emphysema. Also, continual exposure to air pollution affects the lungs of growing children and may aggravate or complicate medical conditions in the elderly. Cities around the world with high exposure to air pollutants have the possibility of children living within them to develop asthma, pneumonia, and other lower respiratory infections as well as a low initial birth rate.Basically, the health effects of air pollution depends on the pollutant type, its concentration in the air, length of exposure, other pollutants in the air, and individual susceptibility. You see, different people are affected by air pollution in different ways. For instance, poor people, undernourished people, very young and very old, and people with pre-existing respiratory disease or other health problems, are at an increased risk.Air pollution does not only affect people. Air pollutants such as ozone, nitrogen oxides, and sulfur dioxide also have harmful effects on natural ecosystems. They can kill plants and trees by destroying their leaves, and can kill animals, especially fish in highly polluted rivers. Moreover, air pollution can have disastrous consequences on agriculture close to pollutant sources. A study conducted in China revealed that sulfur dioxide originating from coal-burning power stations resulted in 100% yield losses for sensitive crop species. These are just some consequences of air pollution that we must all watch out for.Click Here To Know More About Carbon Credit Mall Now!

Pollution has mounted over the years. With technology and progress, pollution is created at a faster rate rather than its control measures. Water pollution is one of the acute pollution problems that the world faces. Millions die each year due to water contamination and many more suffer from various diseases. Drinking water from taps without treating them is a very risky thing to do. Deadly diseases are spreading and the treatments are pricey. Thus to negate yourself from the water calamities it is important that you drink safe, treated water.

The traditional methods are boiling, distillation and iodine treatment but there is no time for someone to boil their water each day and then drink. Thus water purifiers came into existence. Many water purifiers are available in the market today. These purifiers work on different technologies and the most widely used technology in water purifiers is the UV (Ultra-violet) technology of purification. Kent water purifiers are a step ahead by providing a unique Ultra UV technology which has several stages of purification. It has the nano silver coated filters for distillation of the water.

The cartridge filtration method helps in purification of highly contaminated water. They contain fibers and are a very cost effective method of filtering water. The chemical additions also help in purifying water. Like adding some chemicals to reduce the impurities or soften the hard water. But such additions usually change the taste of the water. Thus these several methods are used in purifying the water and making it safe for drinking. It should be noted that no method is absolutely perfect and care should be taken while you are out traveling or back packing. At such times bottled water is a safer option to opt for. A simple way of staying from many diseases is to drink healthy, pure and safe water.

Other technologies include UF technology again developed by kent water purifier. This technology is used for kitchen wall mounting and works even without electricity. It has the capacity of storing 8 liters of water and its technology uses fiber membranes to disallow the flow of bacterias. This technology is a onetime investment to a smart, healthy future. There is a technology developed by Kent water purifiers which help retain the minerals in the water. Thus water is not only purified but also is enhanced with its natural ingredients. The micro filtration methodology helps in removing the acutest micro-organisms of the water and making it pure for drinking.

The problem of e-waste management warrants greater attention in India due to the increasing volumes of e-waste dumps, particularly computer waste, by developed countries. Of late, a number of SMEs have also woken up to the gravity of the situation. In order to dispose the e-waste dumps, these SMEs are implementing environment friendly e-waste management technologies for minimising the waste volume. India, one of the leading countries in the global IT and telecom domain, generates huge volumes of electronic waste (e-waste) every year. According to industry estimates, electronic equipment manufacturers and assemblers in India generate around 1250 tonnes of electronic waste annually. As formal waste recycling and disposal technology is still in a nascent stage in India, it has aggravated the problem of toxic pollutants that are disposed in open environment. Kurian Joseph, Associate Professor, Center for Environmental Studies, Anna University, says, In India, waste recycling and disposal have been performed through informal techniques, which has given rise to serious environmental hazards. United against e-waste generation Speaking about the initiatives taken by the government to alleviate the problem of e-waste generation in the country, Prof. Joseph says, A recent legislation passed by the government mandates e-waste generators to collaborate with licensed waste management firms to bring down wastage volume and recycle it safely. In addition, a slew of small and mid-sized firms are seen entering into tie-ups with various international firms to exploit green technologies for reducing e-waste. K Vijaya Lakshmi, VP of Development Alternatives, shares, A Bengaluru-based NGO has recently brought together several SME sector firms to initiate community programmes aimed at e-waste management. Innovations leading the way Innovations such as green data centres and virtualisation can play a significant role in e-waste management. In addition, these technologies can optimise the use of space and power in the IT and telecom sector. Furthermore, manufactures should strive for waste minimisation by using non-hazardous materials during their production process itself rather than managing the wastes later. Along with implementing green technologies, both SMEs and bigger firms should ensure proper waste handling across their supply chains, and waste recycling should only be performed by licensed firms, says Dr Lakshmi. Dr Lakshmi also emphasised that waste management is the responsibility of both consumers and Manufacturers, who should reduce the use of hazardous substances and dispose waste properly. Air pollution is a problem that we cannot deny. It is a pressing problem that affects every human being on this Earth. Although there have been efforts to tackle the problem of air pollution, it is not enough to finally end the problem.Click Here For Escape The Footprint Instant Access Now!It is understandable; you cannot easily solve or provide solution to a problem like air pollution. So, how will you know that there is such a problem like pollution? How will you know that there is such presence of air pollution in the area that you are in? You must test for the air quality and air particles.By having an air pollution test you will be able to know what are the pollutants present and what you need to do in order to get rid or lessen the presence of pollutants in your area. We all know that air pollution causes detrimental effects and will most likely effect our ecosystem. Thus we need to be vigilant and be able to know more about air pollution. This is no joke and no laughing matter. We need to know what kind of air we are breathing, how we could prevent health problems to occur and how we may be able to make our own area pollution free. It may not be an easy thing to do but hey, if we try to do our part and make this world a healthy and safe place to live in then we are good to go. By having air pollution test, the government can prevent the population from contacting diseases brought about by air pollution by proving smog warnings, acts and laws against air pollution and make projects to counter the effects of air pollution. In this way people will be vigilant and will take part in making this world a better place to live in. Click Here For Escape The Footprint Instant Access Now!

Globally we have awakening to the serious problems facing the world’s dwindling fresh water supplies. Irena Salina’s recent award winning film “Flow” addresses some eye-opening issues regarding our most precious resource. From the highly questionable quality of the water we get from our taps, to the sometimes almost unregulated content of bottled water, the film seriously challenges our predispositions toward government safety and oversight of our water supplies.
But an even more frightening truth is that the world is facing perhaps its biggest challenge to mankind in the 21st century. The tremendous amount of fresh water used for agriculture, industry, and the day-to-day lives of 6.5 billion people has created drinking water shortages in many places and the problem is getting worse everyday in more areas worldwide. Our available fresh water supplies are being polluted and contaminated at an alarming rate as mankind’s activities continue to dump chemicals, pesticides, metals, sewage, pharmaceutical drugs, and a host of other pollutants and filth into our lakes, rivers, streams, and oceans. Over eighty percent of hospital beds filled worldwide is a result of a water-borne illness, poor hygiene, or poor sanitation as a direct consequence of little or no access to safe drinking water.
Climatic changes and altered global weather patterns is also playing a major role in disrupting our supply of fresh water. The predictions indicate that it will have a serious impact on vegetation, agriculture, forestry, and ecosystems worldwide causing further problems and disruptions for all mankind in the next decade.
Almost everyday now, the press speaks to some form of water related issue giving indication after indication of the growing problems regarding the world’s water supplies. However, in spite of repeated warnings and increased public awareness many people continually abuse, take for granted, and pollute our most valuable and precious resource while paying much more attention to the price of a barrel of oil and the scores of sporting events. Fortune magazine says, “water will be to the 21st century what oil was to the 20th century.”
Have you ever stopped to consider how precious water really is? How significant it is to our overall health? Do you realize that water is the essence of life? And what would happen to you if suddenly you no longer had access to it? Are you aware that lean muscle tissue contains about 75% water. Blood contains 95% water, body fat contains 14% water, and bone has 22% water. Normally a baby is made up of approximately 75% water, an adult male about 60%, and an adult female about 55% water. Water is literally the one ingredient that all living organisms on our planet must have to sustain us. We simply cannot have life as we know it without water.
And as the issues and problems arising from shortages and contamination of our ground water supplies goes on there is one very important, almost overlooked, and completely unharvested source of water on our planet. Air! There is moisture in our air referred to as the dew point. Many people are also surprised to learn that at any given time there is about 3.4 quadrillion gallons (3,100 cubic miles) of water in our atmosphere with billions and billions of gallons being recycled daily via the hydrologic cycle.
What does this mean for mankind? Well it gives us an almost completely untouched, unused, unharvested, replenshible source of fresh drinking water daily. The technology is here, and has been around for a while but public awareness of it is very low. The bottled water companies certainly don’t want you to know about it. Your knowledge of this technology might cut into the billions they make by trying to convince you that bottled water is healthier than tap water.
Atmospheric water generators pull air into the unit and then process moisture from the air to create water. The A.W.G. circulates refrigerant (much a like a dehumidifier) through coils to create a temperature in the coils or chiller array that is lower than the humidity (dew point) of the intake air. This causes condensation of water that is then channeled into a holding tank. From this point extensive measures are used such as UV light, ozone, and various filtration methods to create very fresh, very clean drinking water. The system doesn’t require a water source since it acts like a literal “water factory” that makes water from air!
Some atmospheric water generators are also packaged with air-conditioning units which create a complete environmental system acting as an air-purification, air dehumidification, air-conditioning, and water generating system all rolled up into one. Combine this technology with solar power and you have a home, building, etc, that is completely self-sufficient without any need whatsoever for dependancy on municipal, or other outside sources of water or power.
But there are also tremendous applications and benefits to using atmospheric water generators as a way to alleviate water shortages in areas that desperately need the technology. As the world pushes ever further toward ways to overcome the tremendous water shortage, water pollution, and water contamination problems, the atmsopheric water generator (A.W.G.) emerges as a vialble sustainable source of replenishing our supplies.

It has been estimated by the U.S. Geologic Survey that there is 346 quintillion gallons of water in the worlds oceans. They are also quoted as saying that “95% of the water on this planet is contained in our oceans”. With this unfathomable amount of water one would come to the conclusion that water is an endless resource. This type of thinking is dangerously wrong.

For centuries, man has been dumping pollutants into the oceans and today, nearly all this water contains some level of pollution. It has been estimated that nearly half the world’s population lives within 100km (62 miles) of the coastline. This fact alone makes one realize that the problem of marine pollution affects a whole lot of people.

In an effort to reduce marine pollution, the direct dumping of pollutants such as toxic chemicals, human waste, and garbage directly into the ocean, had been banned worldwide since 1972. While these point sources of marine pollution have decreased, the amount of pollutants getting into the oceans from non-point sources continues to grow. Why is Marine Pollution Such a Concern?

Marine Pollution Defined

Marine pollution has been defined as the harmful effects that are caused by the entry of toxic chemicals or particles into the ocean. The problem doesn’t stop there, since many of particles are microscopic, they stick to the tiny particles of food that are then eaten by the filter feeding plankton animals. Fish along the food chain start off by eating this plankton, then larger and larger species of fish eat those fish, until the pollution ends up in humans.

To add insult to injury, much of the animal feed for our livestock contains high levels of fish meal and fish oils. These feeds, which are contaminated by marine pollution, are causing contamination of the animals on our land as well as the products produced from these animals. Meat, milk, butter and eggs all have been found to contain contaminates that have been directly traced to marine pollution.

Who Can We Blame?

It would certainly be easier if we could point our finger at a single source of marine pollution, but the answer isn’t that simple. In truth, all of us are to blame for this ecological mess.

Some of the sources of pollution that have been identified include”

- Oil Spills – Illegal ocean dumping, shipping and industrial accidents, or faulty equipment have all led to numerous marine catastrophes. – Toxic Materials – Slowly degrading metals and chemicals enter our waterways daily. Everyday household chemicals, industrial waste products, animal waste, and leakage from automobiles are all lumped into the category of toxic materials and are causing our problem of marine pollution

- Trash – Non-biodegradable plastics entering our oceans result in animals getting tangled up in them or they may mistake them for food and die.

- Mining – Coastal mining sites and other erosion makers threaten our waterfronts from the run off of pollutants on the ground to air pollution where impurities in the air find their way to the oceans.

- Raw Sewage – There have been numerous incidences of fines being levied for dumping raw sewage directly into the ocean. It is widely known that sewage contains many toxins that are causing irreversible damage to the animal and plant life that are calling the ocean their home.

What Can We Do?

Just as there isn’t a single reason for marine pollution, there isn’t a simple solution. Some of the more ingenious ideas that has been proposed are:

- Government – Many governments have passed stricter and stricter laws that regulate and impose fines for the dumping of industrial waste. Until these laws become worldwide, there still will be marine pollution. Countries all over the world need to consider marine pollution a priority.

- In the home – On a more personal level, there are many things we can do to help reduce marine pollution and other forms of pollution. The use of alternative cleaning products that are phosphate-free and do not contain other toxic chemicals is our first step. Eliminating the use of these toxic products in the home can help reduce the amoutn of toxic waste that contaminates our ground waters and eventually finds its way into the oceans.

- Recycling – Another way to reduce marine pollution. It is critical that we make every effort to keep plastics out of the oceans. This will help reduce the harm they cause to marine and animal life.

- Frugal fuel – By developing clean energy sources, we will rely less on foreign and have less need for large ships to transport that fuel. This hopefully will reduce the number of oil spills that have been so catastrophic to our marine environment.

Conclusion

Whether you live near the cost or not, marine pollution is a serious problem for everyone and we all need to do our part to not only clean up the oceans but to prevent further marine pollution. Solving the problem of marine pollution is going to involve a lot of creative thinking. It will also mean that we will have to change our way of doing things if we want to see a brighter future for our oceans.

In China, the drinking water safety is attracting more and more attentions from the government and people. Chinese surface water is seriously polluted as well as the underground water. Over 70% of Chinese rivers, lakes and seashores are polluted and 90% of underground water in the cities is also polluted. Water pollution spreads from the branches to the main streams, from the surface to the underground, from the land areas to the river areas, from the urban to the rural, from the east to the west. Increasingly, the drinking water safety makes the fast growth of Chinese bottled water market.

In 2008, the sales volumes of the bottled water in China were over 25 million tons, increased by 20% compared with 2007. The market scales were more than 30 billion Yuan (4.3 billion USD). It is clearly shown that the international financial crisis had few influences on Chinese bottled water market.

At present, the products of Chinese bottled water market mainly lay medium and low quality. The sale price of the 500 ml bottled water is 1 to 10 Yuan (0.15 to 1.46 USD), in which the products with the sale price of 1 to 3 Yuan (0.15 to 0.44 USD) receive the most popularity. The retail price of the barreled water is 5 to 30 Yuan (0.73 to 4.4 USD) per five gallons. The products with the retail price of 10 Yuan (1.46 USD) are the most popular.

However, in Chinese potable water market, the high quality products grow rapidly by over 50% of the annual growth speed. Presently, the major high quality brands are Evian, 5100 springs and so on. It is predicted that the capacity of Chinese high quality water market will be no less than 10 billion Yuan (1.46 USD). The consumers of high quality water have already formed.

At present, Chinese high quality bottled water are promoted by creating concepts. There are two marketing channels for Chinese high quality bottled water. One is the propagation of the high quality water sources; Evian is the most successful example in case. The other is the package of cultural concepts; 5100 springs regarded its discovery as the cultural broadcasting, highlighting Tibet mysterious cultures. The big attraction of 9000-year spring is the9-thousand-year ancient glaciers.

In china, people’s pursuit of health is becoming stronger and stronger. People are willing to spend more on the potable water. Therefore, there is a promising perspective for Chinese potable water market. On the one hand, Chinese outstanding enterprises can be further developed. On the other hand, the international enterprises can explore the development potential in Chinese potable water market.

The author made a profound investigation into the manufacturers of Chinese potable water and Chinese potable water market. The readers can obtain more following information in this report:

- Present Development Situation of Chinese Potable Water Market

- Development Situations of the Sub-sectors in Chinese Potable Water Market

- Development Environments of Chinese Potable Water Market

- Favorable Factors for the Development of Chinese Potable Water Market

- Unfavorable Factors for the Development of Chinese Potable Water Market

- Major Manufacturers of Chinese Potable Water Market

- Import Brands of Chinese Potable Water Market

- Influences of International Financial Crisis on Chinese Potable Water Market

- Investment Opportunities of Chinese Potable Water Market

To get more details, please visit Research Report on Chinese Potable Water Market, 2009
